His first artistic teachings have been given by his parental home. Mátyás Varga was taught to draw and sculp by his father, Imre Varga. In the music-centered elementary school which he learned to play the piano and sing. He finished his basic studies by graduating on the painting course. He ended his college studies on the scenography course in Dresden with a diploma. In these day he developed his interest towards the Opera, his diploma covered the whole setting and costumes of Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro. After his diploma he worked in the Madách Theater as the assistant of Béla Götz. Ever since ending the work at the theater, he has been working as a freelance artist. Several of his sculptures stand in public areas, and new ones are being made in multiple countries. Besides of working, he’s had private lessons of singing, passed an exam, and performed at quite a few concerts in many countries.
